Young Adults Need HELP
New study uncovers some devastating facts about the economic status of young Americans:
- 62% of young adults ages 19-22 rely on their parents for financial support. 42% of parents pay for bills and 22% help with rent.
- 25% of millennials (young adults age 18-34) aren’t making enough money to meet basic needs.
- Most high-earning parents give financial help to their young adult children. Less than 50% of low-income do the same (if they can).

The economy is looking up for American families, but some problem areas still remain. For example, family wealth losses still linger. Total family wealth is down $14.4 Trillion (in 2011 dollars) from June 2007.
